What we collect
Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data when you load a page, such as IP address, browser type, page requested and time. We use these logs only to keep the site secure and working, and they are deleted after 30 days.
The Send a Find form. The form runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is transmitted to us; it is turned into a text note you may copy or download.
Emails you send. If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you include. We use it to read and respond to your message and keep it for up to 24 months, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal data, run advertising, build profiles or use third-party tracking scripts.
Legal bases
Server logs are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Emails are processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to correspondence, or your consent where you ask us to publish your name.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to or restrict processing, and request portability. Email us to exercise these rights. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
